The Costa de la Luz (Coast of light) is the western coast of the Andalucía coastline in Spain and faces out to the Atlantic Ocean. The Costa de la Luz is not as well known to Europeans as the other Costal areas of Spain as a result property for sale on the Costa del la Luz is far more competetivly priced .

Costa de la Luz (Cadiz Province) stretches form the River Guadalquivir to Tarifa at the mouth of the Mediterranean sea to Ayamonte on the Portuguese border. Popular destinations for holiday makers and residential tourism in northern Costa de la Luz  include Isla Cristina, Isla Canela, Lepe, Punta Umbria, Matalascanas and Huelva where as more central areas such as San Lucar , and Conil de la frontera are becoming ever more popular.The Costa de la luz also habours the ancient cities od Cadiz and Sevilla as well as the capital of the sherry world,  Jerez de la Frontera .
 
The typical beaches on the Costa de la Luz are more expansive and backed by sand dunes and pine trees. The sand is finer and more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol. The temperatures are slightly milder than the rest of Spain and the often strong Atlantic winds and waves are favoured in Tarifa , Zahara de los Atunes , Barbate, Bolonia and los Canos be Meca by wind surfers and surfboarders alike.
 
The Costa de la Luz also has an astoundingly dis-proportional  amount of marinas and fishing ports port . From the highly commercial and very busy waters off Real Club Nautico de Cadiz and Puerto Real, to picturesque harbours like Puerto Deportivo de Novo Sancti Petri  and Puerto Santa Maria, famous for the quality of its sea food.
 
Hotels on the Costa de la Luz are not in abundance as this part of the coast has not seen the high-rise Hotel development of Costa del Sol, some enclaves such as Hotels in Novo Sancti Petri  and Chiclana de la Frontera do exist however few are above three stories on the sea front.

The Costa de la Luz has a full compliment golf courses and is a unique destination in which to play golf all year round. There is a great variety of Golf courses on the Costa de la Luz with a high level design and of varying levels of difficulty.
