Ibi is located in the Spanish region of Alicante on the Costa Blanca. The first Wednesday of September begins the novena in honor to the Mare de Déu dels Desamparats. The last day of the novena the celebrations with the "Nit of the Olleta" begin, a parade on the centric streets of the locality. At the first holiday the Entrance is celebrated, divided in two parts: in the morning the Christian Side marches past and the evening brings with it the Moor side. The entrance constitutes of a festive spectacle of great colorfulness with imaginative boatos de capitanes captains and abanderadas.

Not far from here is Altea, a small upmarket town with many beachside Bars, Restaurants and Hotels all beside the golden beach and clear blue water. Other beachside resorts like Lloret, a popular holiday spot in Catalonia, and Teulada, more popular among foreign residents and Villajoyosa. Ibi and Blanes alternatively offer quiet and tranquil surroundings, for the people who like to relax and emerse themselves in Spainish culture. There are many beautiful villages in Costa Blanca, like the valley town of La Nucia, Oliva, lined with orange groves and Torrevieja's beautiful lagoons.
